Who are you, in a few sentences??

My name is Sophia and I've been working at FutureWork since May. I studied International Relations and Political Science with a specialization in Gender, Diversity, and Inclusion. I moved to Rotterdam for my job, where I already feel right at home. I love learning languages, cooking, exercising, and meeting new people.

What is your role within FutureWork, and what exactly does it entail?

At FutureWork, I work as a consultant. In this role, I connect newcomers with suitable companies. I'm responsible for recruiting candidates, conducting intake interviews, and, together with my colleagues, ensuring people are well-prepared for their first day. I'm also the point of contact for both employees and companies with questions or feedback.

What makes this work important to you?

Because of my own family history, I know that newcomers to the job market can face many barriers. Therefore, lowering those barriers and contributing to equal opportunities feels personally valuable and important to me.

What do you want to mean within FutureWork – for yourself, for others or for the organization as a whole?

At FutureWork, I strive to be an accessible and reliable point of contact for both employees and companies. I strive for open collaboration in which everyone feels heard and valued.

What employers say about us

"FutureWork took a significant burden off our hands through screening, guidance and knowledge sharing. My advice: just go for it and let yourself be guided. They provide tremendous support, and then you see that you can easily bring a new target group into your workplace."
